With daffodils and snowdrops in bloom, and the skies a bit brighter, we ever so warily abandon our winter coats in the hopes of warmer weather. Easter is a time when everything feels refreshed and revived after winter. It's as though a new lease of life is collectively found. To celebrate this, and because Easter is the perfect time for fun crafts and treats, we've put together a little list of yummy Easter treats and cute crafts that you can make this Easter weekend. Fun for kids and grown ups alike!
1. Have an Easter Tea Party
What could be more fun than a cute Easter themed tea party? Fancy tea-sets are optional - what's important is going all out with the home-made Easter decorations and delicious snacks to go with your tea! These adorable Easter bunny napkin rings are sure to look the part for your party. Try your hand at hot cross buns, these charming little flower cup cakes and of course good old rice crispy buns - don't forget to garnish them with Mini Eggs to make them look like little nests! Whenever they're finished have DIY Easter baskets at the ready to put them in.
2. Make Easter Baskets for Friends/Family
Is it even really Easter if you don’t make a cute DIY Easter basket? Check out this super creative way of reusing an old egg carton as an Easter basket. It looks great, we promise. Perfect as a home-made Easter gift for friends and family. You and your little ones can decorate it whatever way you like and fill it with their favourite treats!
3. Make Sock Bunnies
If making tea party decorations, treats and Easter baskets hasn't satisfied you and your little ones' creative bug then why not try your hand at these super cute sock bunnies? No need to invest in a new pair of socks, simply get an old pair and get cracking! Pastel Easter colours are preferable though!
4. Put Together a Bouquet of Wild Flowers
The perfect excuse to get out on a walk amid nature and see how many different types of flowers you can spot. Be careful to adhere to rules about picking flowers however. Picking flowers from council parks or council maintained displays is illegal but picking flowers growing wild in a forest for instance (as long as you don't uproot them completely) is fine.
