Girls Guide to Festival Packing

Girls Guide to Festival Packing - Lighthouse

If you’re naturally girly, the prospect of camping can be a tricky one to get fully on board with. There is no denying that living out of a tent for a few days is no easy feat. Away from the comforts of home, clean toilet and shower facilities, and often terrible weather conditions to top it all off, can make camping trips feel pretty daunting.

If the prospect of cracking your tent out this summer is striking fear into your heart, we have a festival guide tailored especially for those of us who are naturally girly!

1. Air Mattress

Inject a bit of luxury to your camping experience by bringing an air mattress with you. You’ll be thankful for it after a night of dancing. And as it’s light to pack there really is no reason not to.

2. Ear Plugs

If you’re unfortunate enough to be camping beside people partying into the wee hours of the morning, a particularly loud snorer, or worst case scenario, both, your precautionary ear plugs will help you get your beauty sleep when you need it most!

3. Cordless Straighteners

If the idea of letting your hairstyle go to wayside over the weekend is too much to deal with, cordless battery powered straighteners will come to your rescue.

4. Battery Powered Lights

Avoid scrambling round your dark tent at 2am searching for your make up remover with battery powered lights. Really simple and affordable but will make a world of difference.

5. Waterproof Cover Up

Let’s face it, as much as we might hope for a bit of sunshine over a weekend of festival antics British summers just aren’t the most accommodating. Ensure you invest in a waterproof and breathable tent and also some waterproof cover up for yourself. Be rain ready with one of our colourful waterproof raincoats - You’ll nail festival style and keep perfectly dry all weekend!

6. Get There Early

Many festival campsites open an extra day early which gives an adequate opportunity to nab yourself a great camping spot. The last thing you want is to arrive and get stuck pitching your tent ominously close to the portaloos…
